Family life: expectation Vs reality

“Often the right path is the one that may be hardest for you to follow. But the hard path is also the one that will make you grow as a human being.”
And marriage perfectly fits into the above statement. It is undoubtedly a very hard part to tread and a great teacher too.
When two souls decide to tie knots together, they are connecting themselves on a spiritual level apart from physical intimacy. To keep that flame burning between them, both have to put equal efforts.
Sometimes we expect a lot and end up absolutely disappointed. But the truth is, it is a plight of every married couple. And there are a very few relationships which don’t suffer from these realities of life.
1. As the family increases, the distance between the couple also increases.
2. As life-partners, we expect to go on numerous romantic dates or for a whole weekend but as soon as honeymoon ends, the frequent dates also come to a halt.
3. Breakfast is not the same in reality as is shown in TV ads. There are a lot of chores to do and the biggest challenge is feeding the baby without getting yourself all messed up.
4. A beautiful house exists no more as your dog is always there to mess it up.
5. Family walks never end up as is shown in the first picture.
6. Since the advent of gadgets like mobile phones, tablets or laptops, the physical intimacy between the couple has reduced substantially maing it difficult more than ever to sustain it longer. It is a very impotant part of married life.
7. We expect too much from our children-we want them to be a very studious child, but nobody accepts the fact that every child is different and hence his talents or capabilities.
8. It is indeed a very problematic experience while shopping with children. They won’t stay in one place.
9. Again your children and dogs are there to ruin your family celebrations too. They didn’t even spare one day!
10. Lovely gifts transforms themselves into weird gifts.
