Jaipur Girl Came To Delhi To Meet Facebook Lover, But Everything Ended Up Being An Horrifying Experience

Social media is a great way to meet new people and make friends. It provides us a platform to stay connected with our old friends and make new ones. But care must be taken care of while getting close with strangers. This has been taught by our parents from childhood.
Police also ask people to be alert while communicating with strangers. One should not trust any person they meet on Facebook. Faking an account and then misusing it for criminal activities isn’t new. One such incident happened with a Jaipur girl who fell in love with a boy on Facebook.
She came all the way from Jaipur to Delhi to meet the guy. He promised her that he will make her meet his family so that they take their relationship to another level. She believed in what he said. And came to meet him without telling her parents.  But she didn’t know what was waiting for her.
However, the parents got worried after noticing her absence and filed a missing complaint. After which Jaipur police sought help from Delhi Police. Police carried out search operations. Later the boy was arrested from Mahipalpur.

“Imraan had a Facebook account with a fake name and sent a friend request to the victim. A few months after she accepted his friend request, he asked the girl to come to Delhi to meet him. He also promised that his family would like to meet her so that they could make their relationship official,” said G Ram Gopal Naik, DCP (crime).
Jaipur Girl forced to stay in the rented house
She came to Delhi on 14 March and was forced by the guy to stay in the rented house at Mahipalur. Police told the media that the youth was planning to sell her off to human traffickers.
When the victim came to know the real nature of Imraan, she resisted and refused to live with him. But she was beaten up and her mobile phone was snatched by Imraan,” said the officer.
Time to time we blame the police for its inefficiency and not being serious about criminal offenses that take place against women. But it was all because of alertness of police that saved the girl’s life.
