Tom Latham takes a sensational catch to get rid of Faf du Plessis

The series between New Zealand and South Africa is one between two of the best fielding units in world cricket and it is easy to see why. In the third Test between the two sides at Seddon Park in Hamilton, Tom Latham has produced one of the best close-in fielding efforts you are ever likely to see.
South African skipper Faf du Plessis was going strong and threatening to take the game away from New Zealand. He had just crossed his half-century and the Proteas were well on their way to getting a score over 400 runs in the first innings. But a piece of magic by Latham at short leg halted their charge.
Mitchell Santner was the bowler when Latham at short leg brilliantly read what du Plessis was set to do and took a fine anticipatory catch.

Efforts like these are why the game of cricket is so popular in various parts of the globe. This is athleticism at its very best which is very hard to match in any sport. This effort by Latham is not only a vital contribution towards New Zealand's efforts of winning the match, but will also likely go down as one of the best fielding efforts in history.
